Working On a Wellboat

Life on a wellboat is varied as well as challenging. In addition to normal operation of the vessel, the job also includes handling live animals in a secure, careful and effective manner.

We want co-workers that always seek personal development, strive to increase quality of our deliveries, and put safety and fish-welfare first.

Read more about life on our vessels below.

Captain

The captain is responsible for the day to day operations. They make sure we deliver the best services to our customers, while overseeing the crew on board and the vessel itself.

Facing a wide range of challenges in a rapidly evolving industry, the skipper not only keeps the ship running, they also help shape the future’s wellboat-technology.

Chief Officer

The Chief Officer is responsible for operations on deck. As the Skipper’s right hand, expectations will be high, and you need to be prepared and responsible in your work.

As the only second navigator on-board, you will face a wide range of tasks and opportunities.

Chief Engineer

The Chief Engineer runs the ship’s machinery. A wellboat is a high-tech vessel with many challenges for an engineer, which means diversity is important. The ability to cooperate with our technical department and other crew on-board is required.

AB/OS

The AB/OS is essential to operations on wellboats. Lookout-duty is required from all Sailors, so you will spend time both on deck and bridge.

In what might be the most varied position, you will operate cranes, wash wells, keep lookout, cook and help out wherever needed.

Apprenticeships

We want to educate the future wellboat-crews. Our opinion is that the sooner you gain an understanding of the wide range of tasks on wellboats, the better you will thrive when given the opportunity to grow into your role.

This is why we recruit more apprentices every year – for engine, deck and bridge work.
